What do you wear to the snow Centre?

We recommend wearing warm waterproof jacket and trousers, waterproof gloves and thick socks, jeans are not recommended. Gloves are are compulsory on the slope.

Skiing doesn’t miraculously make someone fit. An unfit beginner will be sore and will run the risk of serious injury. Embarking on a learning program while properly unfit, then skiing is going to be very hard. Difficult to learn, and challenging to upskill and get going with friends.

How cold is the SnowDome?

How cold is it? The main slope temperature ranges from 0 to +4 degrees centigrade. The snow fun park and ice skating areas are typically around zero to minus 3 degrees celsius.

Do you have to wear a helmet at Tamworth SnowDome?

Skis, snowboards, boots, poles and protective headwear are provided free of charge and you are welcome to use your own equipment if you wish. Protective headwear is compulsory for all snowboard lessons and slope users who wish to use the ramps and rails. Lockers are available for your personal belongings.

If you by “good” mean being able to get down an easy green, you can learn it in a day. If you want to be able to ski parallel on reds, blacks, and moguls and not using the plow on every turn, you should count on putting in at least a 1000 hours.

Is the snow centre open for adult skiing?

When do monthly passes for snow centre expire?

Monthly Passes are valid from 1st until the end of each month. Monthly Passes cannot be used for events. Closures and restrictions may apply. On Monday 27th September and Monday 4th October the Main Slope will be closed due to Private Race Events.

What should I wear to the snow centre?

All sessions include the hire of skis, snowboard, boots, poles and helmet. Waterproof clothing and gloves are not included. Clothing is not available to hire so please wear warm waterproof jacket and trousers. Gloves can be purchased for £10.

Do you need a helmet at the snow centre?
