What diameter curtain pole do I need for eyelet curtains?

Eyelet Size Standard ready-made curtains tend to use a 40mm eyelet and as such we could recommend a 28mm curtain pole. A 35mm pole will fit but you may just need to help your curtains along the pole. A 50mm eyelet is recommended for a 35mm curtain pole.

Can you use any pole for eyelet curtains?

The only real difference between an eyelet pole and a normal metal curtain pole is the curtain pole rings. So if your pole is 28mm diameter or slightly smaller then it will be fine for your eyelet curtains.

What size curtain rings do I need for 28mm pole?

The rings have a 42mm (1 5/8″) internal diameter which is ideal for 28mm (1 1/8″) diameter poles as it ensures the curtain rings will not snag on the pole while you pull them to operate your curtains.
