What app do I need for my smart bulb?

Setting up a smart bulb requires using an app. Smart Life is one of the universal apps that you can use on your iOS or Android devices to configure your smart bulb. This app works for a number of other smart devices as well; you can make it your default app for managing all your smart devices.

Are Smart Bulbs Bluetooth or WiFi?

This is the obvious difference. The Flux Bluetooth smart bulb uses Bluetooth 4.0 or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology for connectivity. The Flux WiFi smart bulb on the other hand uses wifi technology for connectivity.

Why can’t I connect my smart bulb?

Make sure the Wi-Fi network is a 2.4 GHz network. The Smart Wi-Fi Light will not connect to a 5 GHz network. If your Smart Wi-Fi Light is already on the right frequency, make sure that your phone is not using a VPN app in the background. The Wi-Fi connection may not have good coverage during set up.

Can Smart Bulbs be controlled away from home?

Smart light bulbs must therefore be switched on at the hard switch for you to control them remotely. Smart switches don’t have this problem and can be controlled as long as your device is connected to the internet and your home internet is functioning.

Why is my smart bulb not working?

Will smart bulbs work if WiFi goes out?

Why dont Smart Bulbs work on 5 GHz?

As of July 2021, 5 GHz smart bulbs do not exist. Most manufacturers produce bulbs that work on 2.4 GHz frequencies because they’re much more reliable than 5 GHz, especially for smart home devices. Connecting a smart bulb to a 5 GHz frequency is impossible because 2.4 and 5 GHz are two separate frequencies.
