Despite the big plans, Laguna Quays has never reopened and remains largely abandoned. The once pristine fairways and greens are riddled with weeds (see above photo, taken November 2020). The bunkers no longer exist and the paths connecting greens with tees, cutting through tracts of rainforest, have become overgrown.
