How do you list a staffing agency on a resume?

Keep the following pointers in mind. If you’ve had multiple temp jobs for different staffing firms, list the client company first, followed by the relevant staffing agency, the location, and the dates. On the following line, list your job title, responsibilities, and any achievements. Then repeat this for each company.

How do I add temp assignments to my resume?

To add temp job(s) to your resume, you will list the name of the staffing agency as your actual employer. Be sure to add a blurb about the company specialty areas just underneath the staffing agency, and add the full dates of employment (starting date to end date) to the right of the agency name.

Do I need to include all jobs on resume?

Your resume is not a legal document and you are under no obligation to list every job you’ve ever had. The purpose of your resume is to sell you to potential employers and this is the most important thing to keep in mind. You need to be able to explain gaps, and why you decided to not include a job on your resume.

Can you leave off jobs on your resume?

A short-term job that helped you pay some bills while you sought full-time work can likely be left off your resume. You should never omit relevant jobs (or any information) from a resume that will cause an employer to be misled in any way. Perhaps they were fired from a previous job, or left a job on bad terms.

Should you list unfinished college on resume?

You put unfinished college on a resume if it directly applies to the job that you’re seeking, if it explains a work gap on your resume, or if you’re still in the process of attaining a degree. Put the information about your unfinished college experience at the bottom of your resume, in the Education section.
