Why is a FURminator bad for dogs?

Dog owners agree that it’s a great tool when the dog is full grown has both its coats in. But it it not a good idea to use it on a young dog or puppy, because it could break the coat. When should I stop brushing my dog?

Stop brushing when you can no longer pinch out a tuft of hair, says Bird. Avoid brush burn. Your precious pooch and feline friend need gentle care. Don’t press the bristles of any brush hard against your pet’s tender skin or tug at knots or tangles.
