Kite Student Portal is a secure platform used by students to take tests. Once launched, students are prevented from accessing any unauthorized webpages or other applications while testing is in progress.

Students with the most significant intellectual disabilities who meet the criteria for participation in DLM, must test in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics in grades 3 to 8 and 11, and in science grades 5, 8, and 11.

What is Kaplan English test?

English level test This test is designed to give you an indication of your language level. However it is only a provisional test. All Kaplan Aspect students are asked to sit a placement test on their first day at school which will provide a more accurate diagnosis of their language level.

What is math kite?

In Euclidean geometry, a kite is a quadrilateral whose four sides can be grouped into two pairs of equal-length sides that are adjacent to each other. In contrast, a parallelogram also has two pairs of equal-length sides, but they are opposite to each other instead of being adjacent.

How does a kite work?

Lift is generated by differences in air pressure, which are created by air in motion over the body of the kite. Kites are shaped and angled so that the air moving over the top moves faster than the air moving over the bottom. Thrust is the forward force that propels a kite in the direction of motion.

Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) assessments are for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities for whom general state assessments are not appropriate, even with accommodations. DLM assessments offer these students a way to show what they know and can do in English language arts, mathematics, and science.

What do you need to know about kite software?

Kite Suite is a suite of software used to administer tests for the Kansas Assessment Program. Kite’s two core features are Kite Student Portal and Kite Educator Portal. Kite Student Portal is a specially designed web browser that students use to take KAP tests.

How often do you have to take the kite test?

New students are allowed to take KITE Part One and KITE Part Two twice. Students must take Part One then Part Two before retaking Part One. Students who have taken Accuplacer twice in the past year or those whose KITE scores are a year old may take KITE Part One and KITE Part Two one time per year from their last testing date.

Where can I take the kite placement test?

Visit one of the Testing Center locations to take the test. Is there a cost for the test? There is no cost to take the KITE test. You must apply to become a student at College of DuPage before you begin your placement tests. First-time students to COD have two chances to take the test.
