Is CQE exam open book?

Yes – the CQE exam open book but they’re recently changed the policy to where it’s not necessarily “open notes” anymore. All references must be bound; no loose leaf paper is allowed. So if you’re going to print out any material from CQE Academy, you’re going to want to put that into a 3-ring binder for the exam.

How do I schedule an ASQ exam?

ASQ certification examinations are delivered by ASQ’s testing partner, Prometric. The examination scheduling instructions in your eligibility letter will direct you to a section of Prometric’s website, where you can select and schedule your examination date and location.

Can you take ASQ exam at home?

Candidates can not only take their exams at their local Prometric testing site but can now take their exam from the comfort of their home via ProProctor (remote proctoring).

How long does it take to become a CQE?

You must be eligible to become a Certified Quality Engineer, and there is 1 major requirements: 8 Years of OTJ Experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a “Decision Making Role”. There is a big caveat here. ASQ will exchange a 4 year of on-the-job experience for a Bachelors degree.
