Is ChocoMaker real chocolate?

Made with real chocolate, ChocoMaker® Decorettes are the perfect way to dress up a wedding cake, special cupcakes or even a bowl of ice cream. Unlike many other dessert accents that are simply colored sugar, each of our Chocolate Decorettes pack rich flavor and unique texture.

Are candy melts and chocolate wafers the same?

Candy Melts®, candy wafers, chocolate coating, almond bark—they’re all products made for dipping, molding, and coating without needing to temper chocolate. I’ll call them candy wafers here, but if you see them sold under another name, don’t be alarmed. They’ll all work just the same.

How do you use a ChocoMaker?

The ChocoMaker® 14” Fountain will hold one bag (2lbs) of ChocoMaker® Fountain Formula Dipping Candy, and the 21” Fountain will hold two bags (4lbs). Press the fountain button to begin the flow of chocolate. Do NOT press the button if the candy has hardened or is not completely melted.

Can you use candy wafers chocolate fountain?

Make’n Mold® Candy Wafers are recommended for molding and dipping sweets, fruits and snacks. ChocoMaker® Fondue Dipping Candy is uniquely formulated to melt quickly and have a thinner consistency, which makes it ideal for chocolate fountains.

Does ChocoMaker chocolate expire?

There is no actual expiration date as there is no ingredient that will go bad, meaning there is nothing in them that would make you ill if you ate old wafers – they just might not taste as good. Melt these delicious milk candy wafers from ChocoMaker to create some delightful treats.

Do molding wafers Harden?

Absolutely! Just place in the refrigerator for about 5 to 10 minutes or until it hardens again.

Can you substitute chocolate chips for melting wafers?

Chocolate chips are formulated to hold their shape in high heat. Notice when you bake them in cookies at 350 degrees, they come out looking the same. Although, these can be used for melting, they are not ideal. Be careful because they will melt quickly around 80 degrees, but will still hold their shape.

Can you bake with melting wafers?

They’re perfect for melting as a coating because they don’t contain stabilizers. Wafers are fantastic for unbaked goodies like ganache, puddings, frostings, and coating around candies. Unlike baking chocolate, I don’t recommend wafers for actual baked recipes. You want to reach for chocolate that is made for baking.

Can chocolate fondue be reheated?

If you make your Chocolate Fondue in Advance or need to reheat leftovers, you can reheat it gently at 50% power in the microwave, stirring frequently until warmed through. You can also reheat Chocolate Fondue in a slow cooker on LOW, stirring frequently until warmed through then turn crockpot to the WARM setting.

Can you use Ghirardelli melting wafers in a chocolate fountain?

Based on my research online, yes you can use this product in a chocolate fountain. However, it is recommended that you add 1 tsp of vegetable oil for every 12 oz of chocolate to ensure that the chocolate is thin enough to flow through the fountain.

Can you use Hershey’s for chocolate fountain?

Yes, you can use any chocolate in a chocolate fountain, but it has to be formulated to have a lower viscosity, or in simpler terms make it runnier. If you add melted chocolate to a fountain without thinning it out, it will clog your machine.
