Is Cusworth Hall open?

The historic parkland surrounding Cusworth Hall is open to the public every day of the year. It’s the perfect location for picnics, walks with the dog, or family days out. Children’s play areas and a playing field are also located within the Park and a variety of walking trails are available from the Hall reception.

How old is Cusworth?

PRINCIPAL BUILDING Cusworth Hall (listed grade I) was built 1740-5, in Classical style, by George Platt for William Wrightson, and altered 1749-53 by James Paine. Immediately to the north-east is the old stable block and bothy (listed grade II). A large, mid to late C20 car park area lies west of the Hall.

How to get to Potteric Carr from Doncaster?

Nature reserve: 9.30am – 5pm. Access to the visitor centre and café is free. From Doncaster take the White Rose Way (A6182), at the roundabout follow the directions for the M18. Potteric Carr Nature Reserve is signposted.

Potteric Carr Nature Reserve is signposted. From the A1 (southbound) come off at Junction 35 for the M18, then take Junction 3 towards Doncaster and follow signs for the A6182 (White Rose Way). At the first set of lights you reach, turn right into Mallard Way.
