Does PlaniPatch need primer?

MAPEI’s Planipatch can be applied directly over clean, exterior-grade plywood. No additive or primer is required.

How long does it take for PlaniPatch to dry?

Allow at least 60 minutes to dry; thicker applications may require longer drying times before the application of flooring adhesives. Clean tools and equipment with water while product is still wet/fresh.

Can I use PlaniPatch over wood?

PlaniPatch works with concrete, wood substrates, ceramic tile, and other types of floor covering. The pot life is generally 8-10 minutes, so you’ll want to do all your prep well in advance of mixing up PlaniPatch. MAPEI Quickpatch is designed to use over concrete.

Can you use Mapei PlaniPatch on plywood?

Well, the answer is actually no. Mortars cannot be used to level or patch a floor – ever! The most versatile self-leveler is Novoplan 2 Plus, a high-strength, cement-based underlayment and repair mix for use over interior concrete, plywood and other approved floor surfaces.

Does Mapei self leveler need primer?

Suitable substrates include MAPEI epoxy moisture barriers, tile, terrazzo and sandblasted steel decking. Porous substrates like concrete will still require a primer to prevent pinholes and aid in flow of the leveler.
